Homeworkers offered PC skills support

A UK-based training solutions firm has highlighted some of the potential benefits of ensuring home-based workers have the skills they may need to keep their computer systems functioning properly.

Training Synergy suggests that some of the most frustrating technical problems homeworkers face, which can often also lead to a lack of productivity, could be solved relatively easily if appropriate training is provided.

Indeed, the company maintains that its PC and networking support training programmes offer one of the most effective ways to ensure home-based operatives are able to keep working.

"While the benefits and potential risks are well known and documented, one of the major areas that tends to be overlooked is the need for homeworkers to be as self-sufficient as possible in terms of both applications and basic PC awareness," commented David Field of Training Synergy.

Figures from the RAC Foundation revealed recently that more than 18 million people around the UK commute to their fixed place of work each day.
